At First Pres, we are disciple-making disciples and there’s no magic button or perfect prayer or even a seminary degree that makes it happen. We grow in discipleship through practice – by knowing God’s Word, allowing Christ to form our spirit, engaging in his mission and actively living out the gospel. Parents, empowered by God, play the primary role in making disciples of their children. First Pres partners with parents to equip them for this task.

Family Faith Practices are prayer experiences that allow families to engage their faith together. Some are active, some still. Some use God’s Word as found in the Bible, some use your own creativity. This page will offer a few different practices each month. Some will immediately appeal to your family and others might seem strange or unfamiliar to you. Keep trying new ones and experimenting until you find some that lead your family into a closer relationship to God.
